We're Back! Gay Beggars Autumn Production: Info Evenings

After a break during the spring term, we’re ready to take on the next Gay Beggars production with fresh eyes and new ideas. But first, we’ll start off with a good old Info Evening.

Are you interested in theatre work (on- or off-stage)? Then you should join us!

We will meet on

  • Monday, 14.05.18, 6.30pm, Room 11, Nadelberg 6

and

  • Wednesday, 16.05.18, 6.30pm, Room 11, Nadelberg 6

If you would like to know more about the production, the play we’ll be working with and what roles we have to offer, you should come say hi! Previous theatre experience is welcome but not necessary.

We’ll have some snacks and drinks so you won’t go hungry or thirsty during the two or so hours we have scheduled.

If you can’t make it to either of the info evenings or need to know more beforehand, get in touch and we’ll send you the important information.

We’re looking forward to a spectacular evening with lots of old and new friends!

While the cast is busy learning lines, why not mark the following dates in your diary already?

We will be performing Our House by Theresa Rebeck on 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 17 and 18 November 2017.

Shows generally start at 7:30 p.m., except for Sunday 5 November (show starts at 5:00 p.m.). The venue is of course the lovely cellar theatre of the English Seminar of the University of Basel.

Update your diary now and don't miss it!

Autumn Production: Info Evenings

The info evenings for our upcoming production will take place on the 8th (starting at 18:30) and 9th (starting at 19:30) of May in Room 11 in the English Seminar (Nadelberg 6), and will tell you all you need to know about the production and how you could get involved. We are not only looking for actors and actresses, but are also recruiting for a variety of backstage positions such as stage design, make-up, costumes, lights, bar and box office etc. - if you have a skill you think might be useful, please let us know!

If you cannot make either of the sessions but would still like to get involved, please shoot us an email and we'll make sure you get all the infos!

The play will be Our House by Theresa Rebeck (2009), directed by Laurence Sauter. Theresa Rebeck is an American screenwriter and playwright. Laurence has co-directed last year’s Lords and Ladies and directed parts of the current People Upstairs. As this will be her first solo project, she is super excited to meet you all and kickstart this production.

We hope to see many of you there (there will be cake!)
